<p>1-Carboxyalkanoylindoline-2-carboxylic acid esters of the disclosure The invention concerns hypotensive compounds of the general formula I < IMG > (I) wherein Ph is unsubstituted 1,2-phenylene, or 1,2-phenylene substituted by one to three identical or different members selected from lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylenedioxy, hydroxy, halogeno and trifluoromethyl; R? is hydrogen or HPh; each of R1, R2 and R3 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, n is an integer from 1 to 10, each of the symbols R4 represents a member selected from the group consisting of aryl-(lower) alkyl, in which aryl represents phenyl optionally substituted by lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogeno, or pyridyl, lower alkanoyloxy-(lower) alkyl, phthalidyl optionally substituted by lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogeno, (hydroxy, lower alkanoyloxy or lower alkoxy)-substituted (lower) alkoxymethyl, bicycloalkyloxycarbonyl-(lower) alkyl, having up to 10 carbon atoms in the bicycloalkyl group, and being optionally substituted by lower alkyl, or 1-(lower alkoxycarbonyloxy)-lower alkyl; or one of the symbols R4 is hydrogen and the other is a radical R4 named above, or salts, thereof. They are prepared, for example, by esterifying free monoor diacids corresponding to formula I.</p> |
