<p>An electrophotographic color image forming apparatus is provided to prevent collision between cartridges and other components, and allow the cartridges to be moved to a proper position when the cartridges are out of the proper position. An opening is provided at a main body of an image forming apparatus. A tray(29) is movable linearly in a direction crossing a lengthwise direction of an electrophotographic photosensitive drum between inner and outer sides of the opening in a state of supporting a plurality of process cartridges. A receiving unit receives the process cartridges. A pressing member(72R) is provided at an upper portion of a movement path of the process cartridges from the opening to the receiving unit, while being supported by the tray. The pressing member comes in contact with the process cartridges which pass below the pressing member to press the process cartridges toward the tray.</p> |
