PURPOSE:To measure the spreading force on the surface of water accurately, by providing a concentric tube body at the central part of a cylindrical container, providing a freely rotating vane, whose rotary center is the center of the tube body, providing a diaphragm between the container and the tube body, dropping emulsion to be measured between the diaphragm and the vane, and measuring the rotary angle of the vane. CONSTITUTION:In measuring the spreading force of agrochemical emulsion and the like on the surface of water, a tube body 3 is fixed to the central part of a cylindrical container 2. A rotary shaft 7, whose rotating center is the center of the tube body 3, is point-contacted with the bottom of an inner surface 3a of the tube. The shaft is attached so that it is freely rotated. A vane attaching part 8 is provided at the upper end of the shaft 7. A flat-plate shaped vane 4 is fixed to a rotation indicating rod 9, which is attached to one end of the attaching part 8. The tip of the rod 9 is a pointer. The pointer rotates in the vicinity of a scale 11, which is marked on an upper peripheral surface 2d of the container 2. The rotary angle of the vane is read in this way. A balance rod 10 is attached to the other end of the attaching part 8. A diaphragm 5 is provided between the container 2 and the tube body 3. Water is inputted in the container 2. The vane 4 is placed at the position of a stopping rod 6. A specified amount of sample emulsion A is dropped. The vane 4 is rotated by the spreading force of the emulsion in the direction shown by an arrow B and stopped. Angle at this point is measured. |
