The readjustment device with suspension for the back-up rolls (3) in a roll stand is characterised by a fixed screw (7), mounted in the housing window (5) of the roll housing (1) under the housing cap (6) and having an adjusting nut (8) which is infinitely adjustable perpendicular to the rolling plane via a worm mechanism (9) and a motor drive and acts via a turntable (11) on a pressure plate (12) secured on the back-up roll chock (4), and by a fluid-pressure-actuated holding cylinder (14) arranged centrally with respect to the readjustment device and having a piston rod (15) for the suspension of a back-up roll chock (4). The readjustment device is driven by a worm mechanism (9) having a worm wheel (10) arranged on the circumference of the adjusting nut (8) and furthermore having a worm shaft (13) driving the said worm wheel. <IMAGE>
