PURPOSE:To detect the vicinity of the end of linear body reliably thus to replace the feeding bobbin correctly by detecting the detection tape provided near the end of the linear body through an optical sensor during feeding of linear body from a feeding bobbin and functioning an alarm. CONSTITUTION:When feeding a linear body (w) from a feeding bobbin 1, a detection tape 5 for reflecting the light is fixed at one position separated properly from the end of the linear body (w). While an optical sensor 6 is provided along the travel path of the linear body (w). Upon approaching of the end of the linear body (w) to pass the detection tape 5 in the vicinity of the optical sensor 6, said sensor 6 is excited by the light reflected from the detection tape 5 to function an alarm 9. Consequently, the vicinity of the end of the linear body (w) can be detected reliably to enable correct replacement upon extinction of linear body from the feeding bobbin 1. |
