PURPOSE:To provide a titled panel which is highly flexible and is applicable to not only a plane but curved surface as well by forming a substrate, a cover material for a liquid crystal and a panel filter of a transparent filter having specific ray transmittance. CONSTITUTION:The transparent plastic film having >=60% ray transmittance of a visible region is used as the material of the substrate forming a thin film transistor (TFT), the cover of the liquid crystal 3 and the filter 4 of the panel. Films consisting of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyether sulfone (PES), polyimide (PI), etc. are preferable as such film. The contrast of the display is improved by making the ray transmittance >=60%. The TFT-LC panel can be formed to the shape having various curved surfaces and therefore the degree of freedom of applications is increased and the panel unit is made thinner and lighter. |
