A parts feeder (10) comprises a hopper (11) and a rotatable drum (12) having a storage chamber (32) for storing parts (P) charged from the hopper (11). The stored parts (PA) are successively received by slots (42) in the drum (12) and discharged therefrom into a chute (35) as the drum (12) rotates. Those parts (PB) which have remained trapped in the slots (42) past the chute (35) are removed by a scraper (18) on the hopper (11) and retrieved through the hopper (11) into the storage chamger (32). The scraper (18) has a cam surface (48) lying across the slots (42) and slanted progressively into the hopper (11).
