摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly execute the welding and to sufficiently ensure a sealing degree of an outer tube by butting a lower cap peripheral edge part on lower end of the outer tube, executing the resistance welding, and press-fitting a nuckle bracket to an outer periphery of the tube. SOLUTION: A lower cap 7 peripheral edge supporting an inner tube 5 through a bottom valve 6 is butted against the lower edge of an outer tube 3, and the resistance welding is executed on the butted part. In this welding, the electric current flows between the lower cap 7 and the outer tube 3, made of metal, so that they are joined in a state that the pressure is applied thereto while heating them by the contact electric resistance of the butted part and the electric resistance of the metal itself. As it is unnecessary for a welding rod, a welding electrode and the like to be moved along a welding line, the welding can be quickly executed, and the cap 3 can be provided with the sufficient sealing effect of high reliability with respect to the cap 7. As the nuckle bracket 4 is press fitted to the outer periphery of the tube 3, a shock absorber can be surely mounted on a nuckle of an automobile in safety through the nuckle bracket 4.
