PURPOSE:To allow an operator to confirm magnification and size prior to image formation by displaying detected original size, and sending a display command for displaying the determination state of an automatic paper feed mode and an automatic variable power mode determined according to the detected size from a confirmation display command means. CONSTITUTION:When the operator presses an original size detection start key before pressing a copy key 56, a prescanning or automatic original feeling device 54 is operated as well as in normal operation to detect and display the original size on a composite display part, and up to setting operation in automatic magnification variation mode or automatic paper feed mode for the original size is performed to check a copy mode state. In such a case, image formation is not performed without transfer operation. Therefore, the operator can confirm the selection state of cassette size in automatic variable power mode and the setting state of magnification in automatic paper feed mode prior to the image formation. |
