PURPOSE:The titled composition improved in water resistance as well as solvent rsistance and hardness, prepared by adding a specified additive to an EVA resin emulsion and irradiating with an ionizing radiation. CONSTITUTION:An EVA resin emulsion composition prepared by adding a compound having at least two allyl groups (e.g., diallyl phthalate or triallyl cyanurate) as an additive to an EVA resin emulsion and irradiating with an ionizing radiation (e.g., alpha-, beta-, or X-rays). By this irradiation after the addition of the additive, it is possible to markedly improve water resistance in which an EVA resin has been unsatisfactory and to improve solvent resistance, hardness, etc. Therefore, it is possible to widen the scope of application of an emulsion of this kind.
