PURPOSE:To perform effectively the purification of gas by connecting an auxiliarly filter medium vessel with a treating machine and supplying the filter medium treated in the treating machine to either of a main filter medium vessel and the auxiliary filter medium vessel by means of changeover. CONSTITUTION:The filter medium treated to reutilize in a treating machine 12 is carried to the upper part of a main filter medium vessel 2 and an auxiliary filter medium vessel 6 via a feeder 16 and a basket conveyer 17 and supplied to either of the main filter medium vessel 2 and the auxiliary filter medium vessel 6 from a bifurcated chute 5 by means of the changeover of a changeover damper 7 provided to the branched part of the chute 5. Furthermore, the level meters 19, 20 by which the positions of the upper and lower limits of the filter medium incorporated therein are detected are respectively provided to the vessel 2 and the vessel 6. As a result, since the soiled filter medium is repeatedly treated by utilizing the vessel 6 and the soil of the filter medium can be completely removed, the purification of gas can be effectively performed even if circulating and using the filter medium.
