<p>PURPOSE:To calculate the present direction of a reflector of a transmitted electromagnetic wave and the distance up to said reflector from the reflected wave by said reflector, by providing a means for transmitting the electromagnetic wave to plural different directions in front of a car. CONSTITUTION:Beam output devices 49, 51, 53 respectively have laser diodes 55, 57, 59 and lenses 61, 63, 65 and laser beams outputted from the laser diodes 55, 57, 59 are emitted along the optical axis in the front surface direction of a car body and in the left and right symmetric directions with respect to said optical axis. A beam receiving part 45 catches reflected beams by the reflector of laser beams and has a beam receiving element 67 and a condenser lens 69 forming a focal point to the beam receiving surface of said beam receiving element 67. A control part 47 controls the reflection and reception of laser beams to calculate the distance up to the reflector and the direction thereof.</p> |
