Clutch control for motor vehicle

A clutch control for a motor vehicle with automatic range transmission is proposed. A range-change shift (10) is inserted between an accelerator pedal (6) and a speed governor (5) for the engine (1). This shift can be operated by the driver. By means of the range-change shift (10), the signal of the accelerator pedal (6) can be isolated from the speed governor (5) and directed by way of a servo control (11) to a servo motor (8) for operating the clutch (2). At the same time the speed governor (5) is set permanently to the idling speed of the engine (1). By operating the accelerator pedal (6) it is thereby possible to control the clutch (2). In this way crawling speeds of the vehicle which lie below the idling speed can be set.
