PURPOSE:To quickly and safely remove lubricant adhered to a shape steel by a method in which an aqueous solution of a lubricant removing agent is heated to a temperature above the melting point of the lubricant and sprayed through a nozzle onto a shape steel drawn. CONSTITUTION:In removing a lubricant adhered to an H-shaped steel 1 drawn by a soil pile core drawing work, the shape 1 is supported movably on plural rollers 2 and 3 and lubricant adhered to the shape 1 is heated to 10 deg.C or more, and a cleaning liquid containing 3-5% a removing agent is heated to more than the melting point of the lubricant and sprayed through a nozzle 5 onto the shape 1 moving on the rollers 2 and 3 to wash away lubricant adhered to the shape 1. The cleaning liquid recovered in a cleaning liquid hopper 6 is separated into clean liquid and lubricant, and only the clean liquid is returned to a cleaner 10 for reuse.
