MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having good adhesiveness and corrosion resistance by dispersing a metal having high corrosion resistance by dispersing a metal having high corrosion resistance between a base body and a thin ferromagnetic metallic film. CONSTITUTION:The base body 1 consists of a polyethylene terephthalate film having 12mu thickness and the metal 2 consisting of Cr and having the high corrosion resistance is dispersed and stuck by an ion plating method onto the surface of the body 1. The thin ferromagnetic metallic film 3 is stuck to the body 1 by a vacuum deposition method of an alloy consisting of Co:Ni=8:2 and is formed to 1,000Angstrom thickness. A protective layer 4 is formed by coating a stearic acid on the surface of the film 3. The adhesiveness between the film 3 and the body 1 is thus improved and the corrosion resistance is improved by the effect of the dispersed metal 2.
