PURPOSE:To lower the concn. of a regenerant which is leaked while treating in a desalting process by regenerating a cation-exchange resin wherein the exchange performance has been diminished with hydrochloric acid and also passing caustic soda soln. through anion-exchange resin after passing sulfuric acid soln. through the resin. CONSTITUTION:After the passing of a regenerant soln. has been finished, the resin incorporated in both regenerating towers is washed and resin (a) and resin (b) are transferred into a resin storage tank 4, mixed by air and stored till these are supplied to the next desalting process. Further, resin (c) and resin (d) are said to be travel resin, used to make the separation of cation-exchange resin and anion- exchange resin excellent and unused for the desalting process. The travel resin is returned to a cation-exchange resin regenerating tower 2 at the last of the regenerating process and at the time of next regenerating process it is supplied to the regenerating process together with the resin which is transferred to the regenerating tower 2 after finishing the desalting process. |
