A prefabricated internal facing 9 is fixed against the timber framework uprights 1, with interposition of a vapour barrier 8. Blocks 10 of thermally insulating material are disposed between the uprights 1. A recoverable shuttering is mounted on the outside of the uprights 1 and held apart at a fixed distance from the latter by braces (spacer bars) 11 fixed to the uprights 1. A light insulating concrete 16 is cast into the shuttering thus produced and the projecting ends 12 of the braces (spacer bars) 11 are cut off before the application of an external finishing coat (rendering) 17.
