PURPOSE:To surely attract paper by a strong suctional force and smoothy feed the paper to a rotor by a weak suctional force, by fitting the body of a support with a thin and a thick pipes in combination. CONSTITUTION:After the air hole 9 of a cylindrical member 12 is closed due to the suctional attraction of stacked sheets of paper P, the cylindrical member is moved against the force of a spring 18 by a strong air suction force applied through two air passages, as the paper P remains sucked. As a result, the uppermost sheet of paper is surely separated from the other lower sheets by the strong suction force. The cylindrical member 12 is then automatically moved up as the uppermost sheet of paper remains attracted thereon by suction so that the bottom of the large air hole 9 becomes coincident with that of the small air tube 16 of a lid 17 and has its cross-sectional suction area substantially eliminated. Therefore, the strong suctional attraction of the sheet through the large cross-sectional area of the hole 9 is stopped, but the light suctional attraction of the sheet through the small hole 15 of the tube 16 is automatically started so that the sheet of paper is smoothly fed to a rotor. |
