METALLIC BAND ATTACHMENT DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the backlash of a metallic band and to shift a magnetic head over a magnetic disk with high accuracy, by attaching an L-shaped metallic parts to an end of a metallic band and turning a control screw inserted to a screw hole of said metallic parts to give the tension to the band. CONSTITUTION:A metallic band 2 contains a flat metallic parts 2a attached at an end and an L-shaped metallic parts 2b attached at the other end respectively. A ring is formed to the band 2 centering on a position near a hole 2e, and this ring is inserted to a capstan 1. A projection 1a is put into the hole 2e, and the parts 2a is attached to a swing arm 3 with a screw 4. Then a screw 6 is attached lightly to a slit 2j of the part 2b. Thus the shift of the parts 2b is facilitated. Then a control screw 5 is put into a screw hole 2i of an L-shaped bar 2h and turned so that the band 2 has a close touch with the capstan 1 with tension. Thus the band 2 has no backlash. Then the screw 6 is turned to attach tightly the parts 2b to the arm 3.
