发明名称 METHOD OF CONTROLLING ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a fuel injection pump and to increase the response speed of the same, by employing such an arrangement that fuel is injected from a fuel injection apparatus two times or more within the injection period in case that the required injection quantity of fuel exceeds the maximum injection quantity of said fuel injection apparatus. CONSTITUTION:At the time of metering stroke, a plunger 6 of a booster plunger means 3 is moved upward by the fuel carried into a fuel chamber 4 from a fuel pump 1, and fuel in a cylinder chamber 7 is returned to a fuel tank 2 via a return pipe 8. After passing of a predetermined time, a solenoid valve 9 is de- energized and fuel introduced into the fuel chamber 4 is metered. At the time of injection stroke, on the other hand, the position of a spool 11 is shifted by a solenoid 10, and fuel from the fuel pump 1 is introduced into the booster plunger means 3 on the side of its large-diameter plunger 6a and then injected from a nozzle 12. If it is detected by a control unit 20 that the required injection quantity of fuel exceeds the maximum injection quantity of a fuel injection apparatus, fuel is injected two times or more within the injection period.
