ROLLING METHOD BY ROLLING MILL PROVIDED WITH SPLIT ROLL FOR ADJUSTING DEFLECTION OF WORK ROLL

PURPOSE:To prevent uneven wear and to eliminate roll marks and difference in brightness of a rolling material by moving axially the supporting rolls of a rolling mechanism which supports work rolls of a 4-stage rolling mill by the one- side supporting rolls to be subjected to a deflection adjustment by split rolls. CONSTITUTION:The work rolls 1 of the 4-stage rolling mill are given pressure by backup rolls 2 and are supported by the one-side supporting rolls 3 to be subjected to the deflection adjustment by the plural split rolls 4. The rolls 3 are axially slided, by which the partial uneven wear 3' by the working faces of the rolls 3 with the rolls 4 is prevented. The transfer of the wear to the rolls 1 is thus obviated and the difference in the brightness of the rolling material 5 owing to the partial rough surfaces of the work rolls 1 is prevented without generating roll marks on said material.
