PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pit ladder which can be stored under a land sill when not in use, and which can be easily installed to provide a wide movable range thereof in a direction to facilitate ascending and descending when in use.SOLUTION: A pit ladder comprises: a pair of longitudinal members 17a, 17b; and traverse members 18 attached to the longitudinal members 17a, 17b, at a predetermined interval. The pit ladder also includes: a ladder body capable of being stored while obliquely erected under a landing sill 14 when not in use; and turning coupling means 22 having at least two rotational axes connecting an upper end of each one of the longitudinal members 17a to the landing sill 14 to allow the ladder body to be moved up to a use position by performing at least a two-stage combined turning operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
