PURPOSE:To obtain a diaphragm having durability, by arranging a thermoplastic elastomer to the squeeze part of the diaphragm for a filter press while arranging a harder thermoplastic elastomer to seal part. CONSTITUTION:A mold having a simple seal part structure is used and the width of the seal part thereof is equally divided into five sections. The first 1/5 width section is filled with polypropylene (PP) particles with a particle size of about 1mm. alone and the next 1/5 width section with a mixture consisting of 75% PP and 25% polyolefinic thermoplastic elastomer obtained by partially crosslinking PP and an ethylene/propylene copolymer resin and the third 1/5 width section with a mixture of 50% PP and 50% polyolefinic thermoplastic elastomer while the fourth 1/5 width section with a mixture of 25% PP and 75% said elastomer and the 1st 1/5 width section and a squeeze part only with the polyolefinic thermoplastic elastomer. The whole is heated at 185 deg.C for 30min and pressurized for 20min under pressure of 10kg/cm<2> to obtain a composite diaphragm. |
