PURPOSE:To perform easily the development with good safety by forming a dielectric film on the outside layer of a developing roll and sucking a one-component toner having prescribed specific resistance by corona discharge thereby performing development. CONSTITUTION:The development is executed by passing the toner under a blade 4 by a dielectric roll which consists internally of a conductive material 8 and externally of a dielectric roll 7 and is uniformly electrified by a corona electrifier 9 to maintain the uniform toner layer and bringing the same in proximity to a photosensitive drum 1. The one-component toner having >=1X10<11>OMEGAcm specific volume resistivity is used for the toner 3. The development is thus executed easily with good safety. |
