PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a solidified layer in the corner part at the beginning end of a casting mold formed of endless tracked mold walls and mold bottom and to improve the quality of a product by ejecting gas to said corner part thereby stirring the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The continuous horizontal casting machine is provided with, for example, communicating holes 14 and a porous material 13 in the corner part at the beginning end of the casting mold formed of the endless tracked mold walls 2, 3 and the mold bottom 9 so that the gas for stirring can be ejected. The molten steel in the corner part is stirred by the titled casting machine, by which the formation of the solidified shell in the corner part is prevented and the quality of the product is improved. |
