PURPOSE:To obtain a portable sensor having high accuracy by providing the 1st electrode soluble in a non-volatile electrolyte and the 2nd electrode which has the higher electrode potential than the electrode potential thereof and is insoluble in said electrolyte and measuring the electric current between both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The 1st electrode 1 which is dissolved in the nonvolatile electrolyte 3 and is in the stable ion state and the 2nd electrode 2 which has the electrode potential in the electrolyte 3 higher than the electrode potential of said electrode and is insoluble in said electrolyte are provided and an insulator 4 is interposed between both electrodes 1 and 2 for the purpose of insulation and as a vessel for holding the electrolyte 3. The sensor is so constituted as to detect the concn. of the hydrogen sulfide to be measured by impressing a voltage between both electrodes 1 and 2 and measuring the electric current flowing between said electrodes. The portable type sensor which permits accurate and continuous measurement even in air is thus obtd. |
