PURPOSE:To provide a more stable and better image employing heat transfer by using an ink composition containing a specified sublimating dye and pigment in a dispersion medium for heat transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of sublimating dyes as given by formulas I, IIand III (wherein, X represents hydrogen atom or methyl group and R and R' each represent 1-4C alkyl group), particles with the size of 0.1-100mum of an inorganic pigment such as alumina and silica or an organic pigment such as nitroso pigment are dispersed in a dispersion medium with three roll mills and a ball mill sand grinder and the like to obtain an ink composition. A dye transfer body 10 obtained by applying the ink composition thus obtained on a cellophane 6 or the like allows pigment particles 15 to prevent direct contact between an ink layer 13 and a recording paper 12 to promote an even sublimation of the dye 14 thereby producing a stable and better image. |
