The aforesaid clamping piece serves to fasten lagging mats (longitudinal mat partitions) in roadway construction and tunnelling to the respective support sections. Compared with the conventional clamping piece, the clamping piece described in detail is intended to reduce the otherwise very high installation costs through its special construction and mode of operation. The aforesaid clamping piece can be used according to the same principle, but through different shaping of the fastening claws, for both the support system consisting of web sections and the support system consisting of channel sections.
