PURPOSE:To obtain a layered iron core having a high accuracy which is combined with a fixing method not restricted in the punching direction of discrete iron core by providing the half-punched extrusions at the line-symmetrical locations in the thickness direction of discrete iron core so that the extruding directions of paired extrusions are reversed at the front surface and rear surface. CONSTITUTION:The half-punched extrusions 3 and 4 are half-punched in the reverse direction at the locations symmetrical to the center line X-X' of the discrete iron core. For examle, when the extrusion 3 is extruded toward the rear surface, other extrusion 4 is extruded toward the front surface. Such discrete iron cores 1-1, 1-2,... 1-n are almost divided into two sections, respectively and the ones are stacked with the front and rear surfaces inversed to the center of the axis X-X'. Thereby, the half-punched extrusions are respectively engaged with the recessed regions and these can be fixed integrally. The punching directions of iron cores divided into two sections are respectively opposed and burrs 2 are not extruded in the direction of end surface. In other way, the discrete iron cores 1-1-1-n among those 1-1-1-n+1 formed as mentioned above are layered in the same punching direction, the last (1-n+1)th directe iron core is inversed for the front and rear surfaces at the line X-X' and these are also layered so that both punching directions are opposed with each other.
