The present invention relates to an improved machine of the type able to be put into operation by means of the insertion of a coin or a token, in which is arranged, in a structural assembly forming a container 30, provided with feet of adjustable height for levelling it on the ground, at least one hopper 56 intended to sequentially receive and deliver quantities of products of an edible material which is not yet processed, this assembly furthermore comprising means for the processing of the edible product which is not yet processed, in a heated composition, such as oil, in order to fry the product, and means for monitored heating and for keeping the oil within a predetermined range of temperatures, as well as means for carrying out the processing of the product into the state required for its consumption, in the form of "French fries" or equivalent products, these means being associated and/or slaved to circuits for control and/or automated monitoring. <IMAGE>
