PURPOSE:To form a guide part for a press machine having excellent accuracy in mating of both guide parts with each other and excellent pressure-resistant strength by using a metallic sintered body to constitute the projecting guide part of the upper die to be fitted to the recessed guide part of the lower die of the press machine consisting of the upper and lower dies. CONSTITUTION:The movable upper die 21 and the stationary lower die 22 are mated by the projecting guide part 52 of the upper die and the recessed guide part 51 of the lower die in order to mate the upper and lower dies with thorough accuracy in the stage of pressing a work W by both dies. A plastic material P formed by kneading a powder mixture composed of Ni self-fluxing alloy powder and Mo powder with a synthetic resin and molding the mixture in a sheet shape by rolls is adhered to the work molding part 6 of the blank material 20 for the upper die and the forming surface 7 of the guide part 51. Such assembly is pressed onto the finished lower die 22 of the press machine 1 and is press stuck and molded to the forming part 6 of the work W and the recessed guide part 51 of the lower die. The assembly is then removed from the lower die and the forming surface by the plastic material of the upper die is sintered in a heating furnace 10, by which the projecting guide part 52 and the press forming surface 6 are formed of the sintered alloy. |
