A free-standing distillery device having a furnace (2), mash still-base (7) and tubular rectifying column (31) is provided, in the region between the bottom splash tray (32) and the upper boiling tray (33), with a plurality of planar and horizontal baffle plates (30, 30', 30'') for influencing the flow of the rising alcohol vapours, these baffle plates being arranged at a mutual height separation (H) and having vapour through-holes (0) lying on alternate sides to each other in the rectifying column (31). The dephlegmator, which is situated in the region (8) above the rectifying column (31) is designed as an annular vessel (35) having a fresh water feedpipe (37a) in the bottom vessel area (35a). <IMAGE>
