PURPOSE:To lessen a loss of material and to elevate a yield by forming a tooth- shaped part and chamfering part with cold forging. CONSTITUTION:An annular body having a tooth-shaped part 1 and a tapered part 2 is formed by inserting a raw material of a tooth shape into a forming die and cold forging it. A chamfering part 3 is also formed simultaneously at this moment and the tooth-shaped part 1 becomes a straight 4. Then a reversing tapered part 5 is formed by a cold work on the tooth-shaped part 1 with a coinning press having a tooth shape for reversing taper forming. Afterward it is held at least at 3 points, (a), (b), (c) by a chuck on the reversing taper part 5 of the tooth-shaped part 1 and the inner diameter part 6 is worked.
