PURPOSE:To remove scales easily and to descale at low cost by using a descaling agent obtained by dissolving acids and metallic ions into water. CONSTITUTION:A descaling agent is obtained by dissolving acids consisting of hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid and metallic ions consisting of aluminum and iron into water. Scales are porous, and porosity is thought to be congregation of holes. Accordingly, when said descaling agent penetrates into said holes, the acid in the agent reacts with the circumferential scale. At this time, the metallic ions which are dissolved at a specified pH are crystallized out due to supersaturation as the hydroxide of the metal by the transition of pH. The scales are destructed by the crystallization pressure at this time as if a pipe is destructed by the expansion pressure when water is frozen. The destructed scales are washed out by the flow of the descaling agent, and the underlying scales are further destructed.
