PURPOSE:To reduce a surge voltage by rectifying a surge energy when a switching element is extinguished and supplying it to a load when a pulsating output is applied through the element to a load. CONSTITUTION:A load 30 is connected through a rectifier 11 and a switching element 13 with an AC power source 20, and a transformer 14 is connected with the power source 20 through a device 10 for supplying a pulsating output to a load 30 by controlling ON or OFF the element 13. An input voltage stepped down by the transformer 14 is rectified by a rectifier which has a diode bridge 15 and a capacitor 16, and the output is supplied through a diode 17 to the load 30 when the element 13 is extinguished. Thus, since a surge voltage generated when the element 13 is extinguished and flowed to the load, a surge voltage can be reduced. |
