Particularly for removal of the product from high-speed presses, ordered removal of sheet-metal parts from the processing location for the purpose of stacking outside the space occupied by the actual production machine is necessary. Hitherto, for example, removal channels matched to the shape of the workpiece have been used for this purpose, but a comparatively long set-up time is necessary for these. Ferromagnetic sheet-metal blanks can also usually be transported using permanent-magnetic conveyor belts. According to the invention, the blanks (2) are successively deflected by a deflection device (3, 4; 13, 14; 23, 24) to a predeterminable spatial position and separated at a defined position from the deflection device (3, 4; 13, 14; 23, 24) and piled up to form a stack (6). In the associated apparatus, at least one slotted magnetic roll (3, 4; 13, 14; 23, 24) is provided as the deflection device for the blanks (2). In a special variant of the invention, a magnetic roll (3, 4) can be assigned an additional deflection apparatus (10), by which the blanks (2) are deflected as a stack (6) onto a further conveyor belt (11), allowing a string of blanks lying one on top of the other in a stack (6) to be transported continuously. <IMAGE>
