PURPOSE:To continuously perform pile driving operations with good workability by a method in which a chuck device vertically movable along a frame is provided above a weight guided by the frame in such a way as to make the weight detachable by the chuck device. CONSTITUTION:When a subwire 19 is pulled up and connected with a weight 15 and a chuck device 18 is pulled up under the condition, while a cross bar 37 on the top of a support bar 35 comes into contact with the sloped line 41a of a sloped plate 41, the upper edge of a slide plate 30a is slid and a coupler 33 is moved to the position of two-point chain lines. A pin 39 to couple with a connecting pin 25 is then uncoupled, the weight 15 is dropped along the slide frame 11 to strike the pile head 49a, and a lock claw 27 is coupled with the notch 38 of the support bar 35. When the wire 19 is then loosened, the chuck device 18 is lowered and the pin 25 is coupled with the notch 26. The claw 27 is then separated from the notch 38. The coupler 33 is further moved by a spring 40, the pin 39 enters below the pin 25, and the weight 15 is connected with the chuck device 18. |
