The process consists of (a) developing on yarns (I) of each stitch during the mfg. process, the same work as on yarns (II); (b) forming with some of (I) and (II) parts of corresponding stitches in order to leave the needles working in the zone of joining adjacent stitches fed with yarn; (c) pulling out the separating yarn to form the classic picot in a weft yarn; (d) maintaining with yarns (III) the unity of the fabric in the direction of knitting; and (e) making yarns (IV) into weft belonging to the design threads of the stitch.
