PURPOSE:To rationalize maintenance without requiring any adjustment when a frame is replaced by fitting a variable resistor for adjusting a voltage impressed between an electrifier and a drum for image formation or an element for stabilizing the voltage between the both to a subframe. CONSTITUTION:The subframe 14 formed in single-body structure is attached to a machine frame only by being inserted into the opening part 18 of an upper machine frame 15B from a state shown in a figure. A pocket 18 is formed and the grounding electrode 19 and connector 20 of a circuit element, etc., positioned in the pocket 18 are only connected to the machine frame to complete an electric connection between the subframe 14 and machine frame. While the potential difference between a scorotron electrifier 7 and a photosensitive drum 6 is measured for every subframe 14, the amount of electrostatic charge is set through a variable resistor R to a proper value and a variable resistor R is fixed to omit the adjusting operation of the unitized subframe 14 during replacement. Thus, no adjustment is required, so a user is allowed to perform replacing operation and maintenance service is rationalized. |
