PURPOSE:To improve the reducibility of sintered ore when sintered ore having <=5.5% FeO content is manufactured by firing with a small quantity of heat, by blending a specified amount of ore contg. a specified amount of water of crystallization as a starting material. CONSTITUTION:When sintered ore having <=5.5wt% FeO content is manufactured by firing with a small quantity of heat, >=10wt% ore contg. >=4wt% water of crystallization is blended as a starting material. The reducibility of the resulting sintered ore is improved in spite of <=5.5wt% FeO content, and satisfactory cold strength necessary for the operation of a blast furnace is ensured.
