PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. suitable for use as a transparent coloring material for a color filter of an optical instrument and a multi-color display element, consisting of a high-molecular resin, a dye and electrically conductive ultrafine particles having a specified particle size. CONSTITUTION:A neutralized anionic or cationic high-molecular resin such as acrylic resin, a dye such as phthalocyanine blue and 4-50wt% electrically conductive ultrafine particles having an average particle size of 0.8mu or below, such as SnO2, are dissolved or dispersed in water in such a proportion as to give a compsn. having a solid content of 4-25wt%.
