PURPOSE:To prevent the pull-in at the changeover of a roll off filter from the equalizing state to the automatic equalizing state from being delayed by changing a tap of a transversal filter and changing a response characteristic of one time slot. CONSTITUTION:Signal lines 45-48 are connected to signal lines 49-50 through external control via a set circuit 34. A value stored in an impulse response storage memory 33 is set to variable taps 35-38 by a set circuit 34 at each time slot. Thus, the transversal filter 31 acts like a roll off filter. In operating the circuit as an automatic equalizing circuit, the signal lines 45-48 are connected to signal lines 51-52 via the set circuit 34 by the external control. A value generated at a correction tap coefficient generating circuit 32 is set to each tap at each time slot. |
