The backup circuit for performing the backup operation with the discharge characteristice of a secondary battery includes a secondary battery (2), a main load circuit (4) requiring a large current, a small load circuit (11) requiring the backup power, a control circuit (14) for detecting the discharge cut-off voltage of the battery. When the controller detects the cut-off voltage first, a switch (13) is turned off. After detection of it secondly, a switch (12) is turned off; then, the battery voltage rises slightly to backup enough to support the small load circuit (14). |
