PURPOSE:To make a uniform washing surface over the whole lot of the top of a car obtainable, by slowing down a speed of a running frame for car washing when a lower positional surface of a car body, where smudges are conspicuous, is brushed clean in time of car washing. CONSTITUTION:When a running frame 2 starts its forward motion, a car V is not presence in the lower part of a supersonic detector 51, whereby the running frame 2 operate at low speed. Under this condition, first a bonnet surface BT of the car V is brushed clean with a top rotary brush 5. Next, the supersonic detector 51 reaches to a position 51A corresponding to a boundary P1 between the bonnet surface BT and a front window FW, and when it passes through the boundary P1, reflecting waves out of the front window FW are no longer received by a receiving part 53. Afterward, a given period elapses, and a speed of rotation of a travel-driving device 7, namely, a running motor RM is selected from low speed to high. |
