<p>A needle loom including a support (1) and a stripper (2) defining a path for a fibre lap (3). A needle board (7) supported by sliding shanks (11) moves back and forth between a maximum penetration position (7a) and a retracted position (7b), by means of a connecting rod/crank assembly including a connecting rod (19) hingedly connected to the sliding shank (11). A slide bearing (13) remote from the needle board has a greater diameter than the other slide bearing, and engages a tubular portion (28) of the shank. The hinge connection (18) between the connecting rod (19) and the sliding shank (11) is located within the axial section (A) covered by the slide bearings (13, 14) and the interval therebetween. For this purpose, the hinge is arranged in the tubular portion. Bearing wear, extraneous stress and vibration may thus be reduced.</p> |
