PURPOSE:To shorten a term of dredging works by enhancing the treatment capacity of a raw water treatment apparatus, by providing a system for directly raw water to a rapid filter after the addition of a flocculant and applying parallel treatment to raw water by two routes. CONSTITUTION:When a period II arrives, a valve 2 is opened and inflow raw water is transferred to pipe mixers 1, 5 from a reclaimed land A in a flow amount Q through pipings 11, 15 by a raw water pump P1. In the mixers 1, 5, a flocculant, a chemical agent such as a pH controller and raw water are reacted to form floc. Raw water passing the pipe mixer 1 is introduced into a precipitation basin 3 from piping 12 through a flocculation tank 2. Herein, raw water is treated so as to adjust SS-concn. to 10mg/l or less. On the other hand, raw water from the pipe mixer 5 is sent to a rapid filter 4 through piping 16 and pre-floc is filtered to treat raw water so as to lower SS-concn. to 10mg/l or less.
