NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R is alkyl, cycloalkyl or (substituted) phenyl]. USE:A plant-blight controlling agent for paddy field, plowed land, orchard, tea plantation, pasture land, lawn, etc. PREPARATION:The triazoline derivative of formula II (e.g. 1-O-butyl-carbamoyl-5,5-dimethyl-3-methylthio-DELTA<8>-1,2,4-triazoline) is made to react with preferably 1.0-5.0 times mol of a cyclization reagent such as phosgene, carbonyldiimidazole, chloroformic acid ester, etc., optionally in the presence of a dehydrochlorination reagent or a solvent, under atmospheric or positive pressure at 20-150 deg.C for <=12hr.
