ACCOMMODATION COMPARTMENT OF STORAGE BATTERY FOR SOLAR CELL

PURPOSE:To mount solar cells on a storage battery accommodation compartment and increase ventilation of the compartment and prevent penetration of rainwater to the compartment. CONSTITUTION:Solar cells 4 are arranged at an angle at which the sun shines on the upper surface of an upper cover 2 of an accommodation compartment 1 of a storage battery (Ni-Cd battery) 3. A space is formed between the upper cover 2 and a side plate 6 so that gas 5 generated inside the compartment can be exhausted outside but rainwater cannot penetrate inside the compartment. A hole 7 is installed in the bottom of the compartment to increase ventilation. Moreover, the bottom of the compartment is raised to prevent penetration of rainwater.
