PURPOSE:To automate the process of inserting lead frames for the improvement of LEDs in terms of quality and reliability by a method wherein a means is provided whereby a lead frame is automatically inserted into a reflector installed on a feeder. CONSTITUTION:A lead frame 5 provided with bonding lines is positioned on supports 9. Lead frame suppressors 13 come down and contact the lead frame 5. A process follows wherein positioning guides 12 approach the lead frame 5 and insert protrusions 11 into positioning holes 10 provided in the lead frame 5. Next, the suppressors 13 descend further for the lead frame 5 to be pinched immovable between the supports 9 and the suppressors 13. The positioning guides 12 go up away from the lead frame 5. A positioning block comes down, inserts the lead frame 5 into a reflector, and pulls back the support 9. When the automatic assembly of an LED is accomplished, the positioning block goes up for the restoration of a supporting means 6 to its original position. The same process is repeated. |
