PURPOSE:To attain a large quantity of copies and the permanent storage of information by forming evenly a photosensitive material layer containing the magnetizable fine powder mixed evenly into the surface of a base and recording optically information by the photosensitive development processing to reproduce the information magnetically or optically. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium contains a photosensitive material layer 2 formed on a plastic base 1, and the layer 2 is formed by mixing evenly the magnetizable fine powder into a photoresist. When the information is recorded to said recording medium, the development/fixing processing is carried out after exposing the recording medium to the light containing the information. Then the recording medium is exposed to a uniform magnetic field when necessary for magnetization of Fe2O5. The information can be preserved for a long period of time as long as the quantity of the magnetizable fine powder is secured on the surface of the base 1 owing to limitation of said fine powder. The amplitude of the light irradiating the recording medium can be modulated as along as the nonmagnetic substance base 1 is transparent. This attains the optical reproduction to facilitate easy production of large quantity of copies. |
